Chapter 18 – Birthdays, Graduation, Parties – Back to Normal!

Back to reality!   Or at least reality as the rest of the world knows it thought Delia.   Her baby Duncan was already in high school and has become such a little flirt!

She knew Duncan was a happy boy and everyone liked him. He and Darius continued to be great friends. In fact all three of them had become very close.  Family time was precious. 

Daniel

No sooner had Delia adjusted to having three teenage boys in the house than she realized it was Daniel’s senior year. Graduation and his 19th birthday was upon them. He was no longer a teen really. He was a young man. To celebrate the life changing event, they decided to host a party for Daniel at their favorite party spot, The Tavern.  It was a great party. Tons of Daniel’s friends came.   

Francisco asked Delia to dance. He was so sweet and said she was as beautiful as the day he married her. She thought back to that day. In reality, she hadn't changed much at all. When could she ever tell Francisco the truth. Soon she hoped. Maybe, once the boys had graduated and started their own lives. Then they would no longer be impacted.

Later, as the party was winding down, her four “men”, no longer boys really, found their way to the Foosball table.  Just like a bunch of guys! But Delia didn’t mind.  She was so proud of her family and it warmed her heart to watch them. Just one more perfect ending to one of the many perfect days they had shared as a family.
